Hello, you are viewing my listing for an Antique Pharmaceutical Mortar.  This is mortar #5.  This is a Porcelain Stone Mortar that weighs 4 Pounds and measures 6 and 1/2″ wide across the top by 4″ tall.  It is made from some type of porcelain or stone material however I am uncertain of the exact material that it is made from. It is in good condition with some small chips present.  There are no breaks or repairs.  There are wear marks present throughout.  There is a makers mark present on the underside bottom.  It shows the maker as T. M. & S.  I have shown all of this in the photographs that I have provided.  This mortar was used by Rita’s Pharmacy located in Roselle and Roselle Park, New Jersey.  Local pickup is accepted.
