In Praise of the Prophet
Salla lahu alayhi wa’ale hi wasallam

prophetoflove.jpg

Muhammad means praised (Mahmud) and the latter is how his name occurs in the Psalms of David. As for Ahmad it means the greatest of those who give praise and the most sublime of those who are praised.

Hassan ibn Thabit
  indicated this when he said:

He derived for him a name from His own Name

in order to exalt him,

For the One of the Throne is Praised (
Mahmud)

and this is the Praised One (
Muhammad)."

The first light created by hidden treasure, this light the pleasure in which all the  world was created, completely annihilated in which he swam in the love and mercy of the Almighty,

The true holder of the true legacy, Alamin – trustworthy, blessed lineage of Ibrahim’s progeny,

A king who lived in poverty by choice, with his eyes focused on the true reality, the best of examples for all of humanity, of the best friend, the best father, the best man, the best there ever could be or ever could have been,

Pure light with no shadow, in which he would stand in ‘salaat’ long nights where he wept, hardly slept, standing until his ankles were swollen, Calling on the Rabb’ul Alamin for each and every thing weeping for the aid of his children, who would have to hold tight to the sacred message…………….

Blessings and Salaam be upon our beloved Nabi, to the extent of the leaves on every tree, and the water in every sea, and every rain drop that should fall upon the earth, and every grain of sand in the desert, and every heart that should walk upon the earth, and every child that should taste birth, and every man that should touch the grave,

May your name be mentioned by each and every tongue, and may my heart burst out of love for Allah and His most beloved,  flow from my veins and be passed onto my children, and be close to the throne with the most noble of character,

Ya Muhammad, Ya Ahmad, Ya Rasulullah (salla lahu alayhi wa ale hi wasallam), I wish you infinite blessings for it is an act in which you deserve, For it is an act in which Allah and I together may perform……………

NAATS (URDU)

The recitation of 'Naats' are poetry based on praising Rasulullah (salla lahu alayhi wa'ale hi wasallam). They originated from the time of the blessed Prophet (salla lahu alayhi wa'ale hi wasallam) and are now very common throughout the sub-continent as well over the Middle East.

There are special gatherings of Naats held over revered months such as Rabi Awwal and Shaban, and amongst the most famous writers of naats have been
'Syed Ahmad Raza Khan' (Rh).

When writing any poetry on the beloved Prophet (salla lahu alayhi wa'ale hi wasallam), it was Syed Ahmad Raza Khan (Rh) who said 'when anyone writes naat, they do it on the edge of a sword, if they go too far in praise they commit shirk but if they do not go far enough they become infidels'.
