Allah (swt) Praises the Prophet (saw)

Allah sends His blessings on the Prophet and also His angels too. O you who believe! Send blessings on him and salute him with the worthy salutation.       33,56

Allah (swt) has revealed the title of Muhammad (salla lahu alayhi wa’ale hi Wasallam) which means ‘The Praised One’ for His final Messenger.  The one who is praised by Allah (swt) can only be ‘the praised one’ or as some interpretations have said ‘the most praised’.  In the Glorious Qur’an, Allah (swt) has also revealed the name ‘Ahmad’ for his most blessed Messenger and 'Ahmad' like Muhammad means ‘the one worthy of praise’.

In the words of Allamah Tahir ul’ Qadri, Allah (swt) has the infinite attribute of being Al-Hamid, which means the Praiseworthy yet he has named his beloved Prophet; Muhammad (the most praised). So why did Allah (swt) not name Himself with this title, the reason as beautifully explained by this great Shaikh is that ‘the one who Allah Himself praises is the most praised and that is Muhammad’.
Allah (swt) in His timeless Word of perfection; Al Qur’an, which is and remains the most magnificent miracle ever known, the Glorious Word that cannot be altered or even substituted by one letter, has revealed who Rasulullah (salla lahu alayhi wa’ale hi Wasallam) is. Allah (jalla jallala hu) has revealed that His Messenger (salla lahu alayhi wa’ale hi Wasallam) is the mercy unto mankind, he is a favour like no other, he is the one worthy of all reward, he is of sublime morals, he is the caller onto the straight path and he is the bearer of good tidings. Allah (swt) informed every living creature of the etiquette we must have in the presence of His beloved Messenger, how he must be addressed, how we lower our voice in his presence and My Rabb – Lord of all things took oath by His Messenger, consoled the beloved Prophet when he grieved.

Above all, Allah (swt) sends blessings on Rasulullah (salla lahau alayhi wa’ale hi Wasallam) and sends on him salutations.

Allah swore by the Prophet’s Life

Verily by your life (O Muhammad) in their wild intoxication, they were wandering blindly.                15,72

The Prophets brought good tidings of his coming

Sayyidina Ibrahim (AS) (Abraham)

Our Lord! Send amongst them a Messenger of their own, who shall recite unto them Your verses and instruct them in the Book and wisdom, and sanctify them, Verily! You are the All- Mighty, the All Wise.          2,129

Sayyidina Isa (As) (Jesus)

O children of Israel! I am the Messenger of Allah unto you confirming the Torah before me and giving glad tidings of a Messenger to come after me, whose name shall be Ahmed.               61,6

Seal of the Prophets

Muhammad is not the father of any man among you, but he is the Messenger of Allah, and the Seal of the Prophets,
  33.40

His coming as a favour of Allah

Indeed Allah conferred a great favour on the believers when He sent among them a Messenger from among themselves reciting unto them His verses and purifying them in the Book and wisdom.                 3,164

The Prophet a mercy for the worlds

And We have sent you not but as a mercy for the worlds.             21,107

And We have sent you as a Messenger to mankind,          4,79

And We have not sent you, except as a giver of glad tidings and a warner to all mankind,            34,28

Verily, there has come unto you a Messenger from among yourselves. It grieves him that you should receive any injury or difficulty. He is anxious over you, for the believers, full of pity, kind and merciful.             9,128

And by the Mercy of Allah, you dealt with them gently. And had you been severe and harsh-hearted, they would have broken away from you,        3,159

The Prophet (saw) has sublime morals

And Verily, you (O Muhammad) are on an exalted standard of character.   68,4

And endure you patiently, your patience is not but from Allah. And grieve not over them, and be not distressed because of what they plot.             16,127

Indeed in the Messenger of Allah you have a good example to follow, for the one who hopes in Allah and the last day and remembers Allah much.         33,21

And Verily, for you will be an endless reward.        68,3

Caller to straight path

And certainly you call them to a Straight Path.          23,73

But invite them to your Lord. Verily! You indeed are on the Straight Guidance.   22,67

Say ‘I do not tell you that with me are the treasures of Allah, nor I know the unseen, nor I tell you that I am an angel. I but follow what is revealed to me by inspiration.      6,50

The Prophet (saw) Consoled by Allah (swt)

And let not them sadden you, who rush with haste to disbelieve, Verily not the least harm they do to Allah.           3,176

We know indeed the grief which their words cause you, it is not you that they deny, but it is the verses of Allah that the wrongdoers deny.           6,33

And let not their speech grieve you, for all power and honour belong to Allah. He is the All Hearer, the All Knower.             10,65

And grieve not for them, nor be in distress because of what they plot.    27,70

If you help him not, for Allah did indeed help him when the disbelievers drove him out.                 9,40

Obey Allah and His Messenger

Say, ‘Obey Allah and the Messenger. But if they turn away, then Allah does not like the disbelievers.        3,32

And obey Allah and the Messenger that you obtain mercy.    3,132

O you who believe! Obey Allah and the Messenger and those of you who are in authority. If you differ in anything amongst yourselves, refer it to Allah and His Messenger, if you believe in Allah and the Last day.           4,59

And obey Allah and the Messenger and beware and fear Allah.   5,92

So fear Allah and adjust all matters of difference among you, and obey Allah and His Messenger, if you are believers.           8,1,

O you who believe! Obey Allah and His Messenger, and turn not away from him while you are hearing.    8, 20

And obey Allah and His Messenger, and do not dispute,           8,46

Say ‘Obey Allah and obey the Messenger, but if you turn away, he is only responsible for the duty placed on him and you for that placed on you. If you obey him, you shall be on the right guidance.           24,54

And stay in your houses, and do not display yourselves like that of the times of ignorance, and offer prayers perfectly, and give Zakat and obey Allah and His Messenger.  33,33

O you who believe! Obey Allah and obey the Messenger and render not vain your deeds.                 47,33

Obey Allah, and obey the Messenger, but if you turn away, then the duty of Our Messenger is only to convey clearly.      64,12

And offer prayers perfectly, and give Zakat and obey the Messenger that you may receive mercy.           24,56

He who obeys the Messenger, has indeed obeyed Allah, but he who turns away, then we have not sent you as a watcher over them.           4,80

And whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger will be admitted to Gardens under which rivers flow, to abide therein, and that will be the great success.   4,13

And whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger, He will admit him to Gardens beneath which rivers flow and whoever turns back, He will punish him with a painful torment.       48,17

And whoso obeys Allah and the Messenger then they will be in the company of those on whom Allah has bestowed His grace, of the Prophets, the truthful, the martyrs and the righteous. And how excellent these companions are!          4,69

And give the Zakat, and obey Allah and His Messenger. Allah will have His mercy on them. Surely Allah is All Mighty, All Wise.                  9,71

And whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger, fears Allah, and keeps his duty, such are the successful.                   24,52

And whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger, he has indeed achieved a great achievement.                  33,71

Verily those who give their pledge to you, they are giving their pledge to Allah. The Hand of Allah is over their hands. Then whoever breaks his pledge, breaks only to his own harm, and whoever fulfils what he has covenanted with Allah, He will bestow on him a great reward.           48,10

Love, respect and honour for the Prophet (saw) a part of faith of the believer

“Verily Allah and his angels sent salutations to the Prophet . O you who believe, send salutations and greetings to the Prophet .”   33.56

‘Say ‘If you love Allah, then follow me, Allah will love you and forgive you your sins. Allah is Forgiving, Most Merciful.       3,31

Say ‘Obey Allah and the Messenger. But if they turn away, then Allah does not like the disbelievers.
3,32

The Prophet is closer to the believers than their ownselves, and his wives are their mothers.          33,6

O you who believe! Do not be forward in the presence of Allah and His Messenger, and fear Allah. Verily! Allah is All-Hearing, All knowing.
49,1

O you who believe! Raise not your voices above the voice of the Prophet, nor speak aloud to him in talk as you speak aloud to one another, lest your deeds may be rendered fruitless while you perceive not.
49,2

Verily! Those who lower their voices in the presence of Allah’s Messenger, they are the ones whose hearts Allah has tested for piety. For them is forgiveness and a great reward.         49,3

‘Whatsoever the Messenger gives you, take it. And whatsoever he forbids, abstain from it and keep your duty to Allah’ .
   59, 7

O you who believe! Say not unto the Messenger, ‘listen to us’, but say ‘look upon us’ and be listeners. And for the disbelievers there is a painful torment.          2,104

The family of the Prophet (saw)

O wives of the Prophet! You are not like any other women. If you keep your duty, then not be soft in speech, lest he in whose heart is a disease should be moved with desire, but speak in an honourable manner. 33,32

And stay in your houses, and do not display yourselves like that of the times of ignorance, and offer prayers perfectly and give Zakat and obey Allah and His Messenger. Allah wishes only to remove sins from you, O members of the family and to purify you with a thorough purification.     33,33

Say ‘No reward do I ask of you for this except to be kind to me for my kinship with you.           42,23

And enjoin prayer on your family, and be patient in offering them. 20,132

And remember when the Lord of Abraham tried him with certain commands, which he fulfilled. He said ‘Verily, I am going to make you a leader of mankind’. Abraham said ‘And of my offspring’. Allah said ‘My covenant includes not wrongdoers’.              2,124

Then whoever disputes with you concerning him after knowledge that has come to you, say ‘Come let us call our sons and your sons, our women and your women, ourselves and yourselves – then we pray and invoke the Curse of Allah upon those who lie’.                  3,61

Prophet’s (saw) companions

Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, and those who are with him are severe against disbelievers, and merciful among themselves. You see them bowing and falling down prostrate, seeking Bounty from Allah and Good pleasure. The mark of them is on their faces from the traces of prostration.      48,29

Those who follow the Messenger, the Prophet who can neither read nor write whom they find written with them in the Torah and the Gospel, he commands them for what has been ordained and forbids them from what has been forbidden, he allows them as lawful as regards things, deeds, beliefs and prohibits them as unlawful the unlawful things, he releases them from their heavy burdens and from the fetters that were upon them. So those who believe in him, honour him, help him, and follow the light which has been sent down with him, it is they who will be successful.7,157

The day that Allah will not disgrace the Prophet and those who believe with him, their Light will run forward before them,             66,8

If you help him not, for Allah did indeed help him when the disbelievers drove him out, the second of two, when they (The Messenger and Abu Bakr) were in the cave, and he said to his companion ‘Be not sad, surely Allah is with us’.                9,40

‘Remember when He covered you with a slumber as a security from Him, and He caused rain to descend on you from the sky, to cleanse you thereby and to remove you from the whispering and to strengthen your hearts, and make your feet firm thereby’.                8,11
